Weight Alterations:

Now as we all know, power-to-weight ratio is king. Half the battle is increasing the power, the other half is dropping the weight. Other than the car's own weight reduction, this can be done by changing chassis (or whatever the plural of that is).

Every chassis in the game brings a weight associated with it, along with a wheelbase (distance between the centre of the front and rear wheels from the side). Unless you actually WANT your car to look stupid, it's good to pick a chassis that matches the wheelbase +/- 80mm. Highlight chassis, hit F5 and up pop the options.

You can see at the top the Loctite's own chassis measurements. We pick out the Mazda 787B chassis, which is 300kg lighter and roughly the same wheelbase (2665mm Loctite, 2662mm 787B), et voila! If you want you car even lighter, add on a weight reduction - the most is 85.0% from a variety of cars (stage 1 of Viper Concept, Zonda C12 and Zonda C12-S, if you're lazy and can't be bothered to scroll down). As a personal note, I always like to keep the chassis of the same type as the drivetrain - the chassis seems to bring some of the driving qualities with it - not least in the form of wheelbase and track. An MR chassis on a FF car just doesn't seem right to me, but go with what you think is best.
